PARK AT GLEISDREIECK | three corners

Gleisdreieck is one of several public parks that are set on former train grounds where freight trains entered and left Berlin before the Second World War. The park offers places to play and rest but also is part of a greenway that connects Potsdam Platz to Steglitz and Natur Park Südgalände.

In the 1970s there were discussions to develop this land for roads and other projects but citizens protested this development and called for the space to be made into a recreational area.

The park was designed with citizen input and was created between 2008-2014 with the GRÜNBerlin Gruppe.
