Yes! There are surfing spots in Munich!
They are man-made but they are there and there is a big surfing culture. I was working in Munich in the spring of 2018 and I kept seeing cyclists around the city carrying surfboards on their bike.
One of the spots in next to the Haus der Kunst (House of Art) at the start of the Eisebach which runs through the Englischer Garten, a huge garden in the middle of Munich.
I became fascinated with the onlookers and the process of getting to and waiting for the wave. This little short shares some of those moments along with scenes from the park.
Also significant was the number of women on the wave. I love the democratic nature of the surf.
